AncestryDNA, 23andMe, MyHeritage and FamilyTreeDNA. I don’t sell tests and have no affiliation with any company — you get independent advice on what your results do and don’t show.

Can DNA alone build my family tree?
No — and anyone who says otherwise is overselling. DNA narrows possibilities; records confirm them. The combination is where the breakthroughs happen.
