Heirloom Family History Books

Research that lives in a folder gets forgotten. I write your family’s story as a proper narrative — and print it as a hardback book your grandchildren’s grandchildren will hold.

What I’ll research

  • Existing research reviewed, verified and filled where thin
  • The records woven into a readable narrative, not a data dump
  • Photographs restored, captioned and placed in the story
  • Historical context: what their town, work and times were like

What you receive

  • A professionally written narrative — typically 80–250 pages
  • Hardback binding with foiled title; softback copies available
  • Family tree charts and a full source appendix
  • The print files, so more copies can always be made

Questions families ask

What does a book cost?

From £950 for a single-line narrative based on existing research, to £2,500+ where new research, many photographs or multiple lines are involved. Every book is quoted exactly after a free call — no surprises.

How long does it take?

Three to six months, depending on research needed. For a fixed family occasion — a 90th birthday, an anniversary — tell me the date and I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s achievable.

I’ve done the research myself. Will you just write it up?

Happily — that’s many of my favourite projects. I verify as I write (gently; surprises are handled with tact) and your decades of work become something the family will actually read.
